The Client Our client are a market leading UK media company, their high profile radio station currently require a field based Business Development Executive in Scotland . The Role Working in a fun, creative, dynamic environment you will be responsible for maximising revenue by selling advertising and sponsorship opportunities to new and existing SME and corporate customers in their transmission area. This role will involve sourcing, identifying and securing business opportunities via cold calling, telemarketing and face to face meetings with decision makers. You will be responsible for presenting innovative and creative tailor-made advertising solutions. This will also involve managing and nurturing their existing customer base, developing long term profitable relationships with a range of customers. The Candidate Ide ally you will have some experience of selling radio advertising space; alternatively you will have field based sales experience from any media sector (i.e magazines, directories, online, exhibition, newspapers, etc). You will be able to put across a strong sales argument with excellent presentation skills, drive and enthusiasm and the ability to come up with creative ideas that are commerci ally viable. You will have a strong understanding of the media and marketing departments, coupled with drive, motivation and passion to develop new business in a competitive market. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate at all levels.
