The Company

Our client is an award winning leading independent publisher with a strong track record in successfully launching a range of well researched attractive and highly respected glossy consumer magazine titles, events and associated websites. They currently require Advertising Sales Executives to sell advertising and sponsorship opportunities on a range of sport and leisure magazines and associated supplements. Their product provides readers with an informed mix of current and hot editorial features, interviews, reviews, articles and competitions covering a range of subject areas. Their customers include a range of high profile international, national and local brand names.

 

The Role

After an initial intensive training program introducing you to their product portfolio, brand values and business approach you will be placed in a front line sales role. You will be responsible for generating new business and managing key accounts within their high profile titles. This role will involve dealing with a mix of customers across the associated subject matters. You will be responsible for cold call telemarketing to generate new accounts, while developing and maintaining relationships with their growing client base. You will be negotiating and presenting bespoke print and online advertising solutions to key decision makers over the phone. You will be working to targets and tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.

The Candidate

Ideally require a minimum of 6 months successful track record selling any form of advertising space (ie. newspaper, magazines, radio, directory, etc). You will be naturally enthusiastic with creativity, drive and motivation to develop business in a competitive market. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels.

Alternatively you will have strong experience and successful track record of selling any business to business or business to consumer product such as office furniture, office supplies, franking machines, IT equipment, IT products, training, telecoms, financial products, digital print services or a background in recruitment consultancy. You will be money motivated (Top earners earn £45K+) with the ability to work in a high activity based environment. You will be PC literate, creative, ambitious, articulate, proactive and quick thinking with the ability, motivation and drive to continue this organisations success.

 

The Package

They are a company that value their staff, have a high staff retention rate and invest in their development. You will receive basic salary to £24K + uncapped bonus (realistic OTE £35K – £40K+) + benefits (30-40% of the sales team earning in excess of £40k and more every year)
