Our client is an award-winning Exhibitions business with a portfolio of consumer events. Due to expansion they currently require an Exhibition and Events Sales Executives to sell opportunities on a range of events.
Based from their Glasgow office you will be responsible for selling a range of exhibitions space, sponsorship, experiential and associated media marketing opportunities to business customers throughout the UK, Europe and further afield. Working within a dedicated Exhibition sales team this is a creative role where you will be contacting existing customers from an already established warm database of clients as well as sourcing leads and generating new business over the telephone via cold call telemarketing. This is a structured sale where you will identify the business needs then create, design and present innovative media and marketing solutions tailored to the client to ensure results. This will involve negotiating and presenting bespoke solutions to key decision makers over the phone and occasionally face to face. Working to monthly and annual revenue targets and deadlines, you will be responsible for dealing with a range of customers from SME’s to corporate clients on a national basis. You will also spend time at designated shows sourcing leads and developing relationships.
Ideally you will require a proven track record of success selling Exhibition and Events space and looking to join an innovative rewarding and expanding exhibitions operation.
Alternatively you will require a minimum of 6 months success selling any form of advertising space (ie. newspaper, magazines, radio, directory, etc) with a desire to get into the exhibitions sector. You will be naturally competitive and enthusiastic with creativity, drive and motivation to develop business in a competitive market. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels.
