Selling a range of event and exhibitions space on a network of already established, successful and growing Fine Food and Drink festivals that take place at venues throughout the UK
Our client are an established Media and Events organisation with a range of cutting edge media tools including festivals, online and published magazine products. They currently require an Exhibition & Events Sales Executive to work on an already established successful and growing Fine Food and Drink Show that takes place at over ten venues throughout the UK. Their innovative festivals of Food and drink are one of the biggest of its kind in the UK providing specialist food and drink exhibitors with the opportunity to place their produce directly in the hands of potential customers. These high profile events bring together food and drink brands, producers, food connoisseurs, TV chefs, local chefs and Michelin star chefs in a festival of food and drink, with tastings and demonstrations.
Based from their office in Edinburgh you will be responsible for selling a range of event and exhibitions space, advertising, experiential, sponsorship and other media opportunities to business customers in the food and drink industry throughout the UK and further afield. Working within a dedicated Media sales team this is a creative role where you will be responsible for maintaining and understanding your sector, market conditions and competitor products. This is a structured sale where you will be responsible for sourcing potential customers, developing leads by cold call telemarketing, then taking a consultative approach to the sales process. You will identify the business needs then create, design and present innovative media and marketing solutions tailored to the client to ensure results and encourage commercial partnerships. This will involve negotiating and presenting solutions to key decision makers both over the phone and face to face. Clients will include consumer brands, tourist boards and food and drink companies and associated lifestyle companies ect. Working to revenue targets and deadlines, you will be responsible for dealing with a range of customers from SME’s to corporate clients, experiential agencies, Pr agencies and advertising agencies on a national basis. You will have the support and back up of strong case studies, metrics and marketing information through a powerful media based solution. You will also spend time at designated shows sourcing leads and developing relationships.
To be considered for the role you require experience and a demonstrable strong track record of developing new business and managing accounts from within any events, exhibitions, advertising or media sales sector (magazine, newspaper, publishing, outdoor, radio, exhibitions, etc).
You will have a solid understanding of the sales process. You will have a strong understanding of the media and marketing departments, coupled with drive, motivation and passion to develop new business in a competitive market. You will have a high activity rate, be very comfortable cold calling, closing deals over the phone and presenting face to face. You will be PC literate and creative with the ability to deal with all levels. You will be commercially aware, motivated and enthusiastic with an ethical approach to sales. You will have the tenacity to drive sales forward and a real desire to work in the exhibition sales sector. You will be PC literate, creative, ambitious, articulate, proactive and quick thinking.
