Our client is a well-established magazine publisher with a range of successful magazines and associated online media. They currently require an Advertising Sales Executive to sell magazine advertising and sponsorship solutions based in their Edinburgh office. Their titles include Business to business and business to consumer magazines covering the sports and automotive sectors.
You will be responsible for the sales of media opportunities to a range of business customers and advertising agencies. Working within a dedicated Media sales team on a range of established Sports, Lifestyle and automotive publications your role will involve contacting existing customers from an already established database of clients as well as sourcing leads and generating new business over the telephone via cold call telemarketing. Customers could range from manufactures in the motors industry, to sport sponsors to lifestyle businesses. This is a structured sale where you will identify the business needs then create, design and present innovative advertising solutions tailored to the client to ensure results. Product could include sponsorship, promotions, editorial, events, online, social media and print media. This will involve negotiating and presenting bespoke print and digital advertising solutions to key decision makers over the phone and occasionally face to face. You will be responsible for building, nurturing and developing relationships with key decision makers in into key accounts. Working to revenue targets and deadlines, you will be responsible for dealing with a range of customers from SME’s to corporate clients on a national basis.
To apply you will ideally require a minimum of 6 months advertising sales experience from any sector.
Alternatively you will have targeted business to business sales or recruitment experience from any sector. You will be target driven with a professional and articulate manner necessary to deal with high-level prestigious clients from Blue Chips to SMEs.
You will be money motivated, commercially aware, motivated and naturally enthusiastic with tenacity and ambition and be able to demonstrate that you have a competitive edge. You will be PC literate, creative, articulate, proactive and quick thinking with the ability to develop relationships. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels.

Basic salary to £25K ++ uncapped bonus (1st year OTE £32.5K) (2nd Year ote rising with top earners earning £50K+) + benefits.
