They are a highly respected and leading provider of political publishing, information and Communications. They provide a wide range of government agencies, public, voluntary, charities and private sector organisations with advertising and sponsorship opportunities through an expanding range of monthly magazine titles, websites, events and conference platforms. They currently require an Media Sales Executive to sell print, digital media, conference and sponsorship opportunities across a wide portfolio of propositions.
Based in Edinburgh you will be responsible for generating new business and managing key accounts across their portfolio of high profile magazine titles, events, conferences, supplementary publications and online media. This role will involve researching and sourcing leads, warm and cold calling, negotiating and presenting bespoke advertising, sponsorship and events space solutions to key decision makers over the phone and face to face. You will be responsible for building, nurturing and developing existing relationships with key decision makers within a wide range of organisations looking to connect and communicate with policymakers and decision makers within the public sector in Scotland. Clients could include corporate clients, charities, government agencies, NGO’s, trade unions and associations. Working to realistic targets and deadlines you will have the support and back up of strong case studies, metrics and marketing information, marketing support and sales leads.
Ideally you will have experience of selling either advertising, sponsorship, exhibition or conference opportunities from any sector (i.e. newspaper, events, conferences, radio, directory, magazines etc). You will need to have a genuine interest in current affairs, public policy and politics.
You will be self motivated, professional, articulate, and business minded with the drive and determination to continue this leading organisations success.
Alternatively, you will have experience of working within policy, political, public affairs or selling to the public sector or non-governmental organisations with the desire to pursue a career in the lucrative world of advertising sales or you will be of graduate caliber with some business to business sales experience.
