The Client

Our client is one of Scotland’s instantly recognisable high profile market leading brands. Operating for over 40 years they provide blue chips, corporate clients, SMEs and advertising agencies with unrivalled access to customers through a range of exceptional mediums. They are No 1 in their sector and as part of growth plans they are now looking for a Media Sales Executive based out of their Head office in Edinburgh City centre.

 

The Role

Working within a dedicated media sales team you will be responsible for the development of new business from a range of Advertising Agencies, SME and Corporate clients.

This is a highly creative role where you will sell across their portfolio of media solutions which includes primarily digital but also print solutions, events, promotions, partnership opportunities and other added value services. There will be a focus on new business where you will be responsible for identifying opportunities and areas for growth. This will involve sourcing leads, telemarketing calls to potential customers. You will be responsible for face to face meetings where you will identify the business needs then create, design and present innovative new media solutions tailored to the client to ensure results and repeat business. Once on board this will involve managing and nurturing these accounts, ensuring optimisation of revenue streams. You will be working to set deadline and revenue targets. You will have the support and back up of strong case studies, online presentation tools, metrics and marketing information to ensure sales success.  You will be responsible for keeping up to date with industry news, trends and competitor analysis. You will be working closely with the in house marketing and design team.

 

The Candidate

Ideally to apply for this role you will require a minimum of 12 months experience selling advertising space from any medium (i.e. radio, newspapers, magazines, television, digital, outdoor etc). 

We are also keen to speak to people with experience of media buying or planning that would be interested in moving into a more sales orientated environment.

 

You will need to be a creative thinker, who can bring new innovative ideas to the team.

You will have a strong understanding of the media buying, marketing principles and decision making drivers, coupled with creativity, drive, motivation and passion to develop new business opportunities in a competitive market. You will have strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels.

Basic salary to £25,000 + uncapped bonus (On target Bonus £5K+) + benefits.
