Office based in Edinburgh.
Sales Manager required for the UKs Biggest Food Festival – a network of already established, successful and growing Food and Drink festivals attracting 200,000 visitors over the series. The events take place throughout the Summer at outdoor venues around the UK.
The Company
- An established Events and Media organisation running the UK’s biggest food and drink festivals.
- Their innovative festivals provide specialist food and drink exhibitors with the opportunity to market themselves and sell directly to customers.
- These high profile events bring together food and drink brands, artisan producers, food connoisseurs, TV chefs, local chefs and Michelin star chefs, high profile music bands in a festival of fun, food and drink, with tastings and demonstrations.
- Their partner brands have included Heart FM, The Telegraph, Square Meal, Pimms, Uber Eats, Guinness, Visit Barbados, Virgin and BMW.
- Previous Music Headliners have included Blue, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Scouting for Girls, Natalie Imbruglia, Gabrielle and Example.
- They currently require an inspirational Sales Manager based from their Edinburgh office
The Role
- Leading, motivating, managing and supporting a team of Sales Executives
- Selling a range of exhibitions space, sponsorship, and digital packages to business customers in the fine food and drink industry throughout the UK.
- Clients will include food and drink, wellbeing and lifestyle brands, agencies, artisan producers, tourist boards and associated lifestyle companies etc.
- Coaching to ensure all pre-set targets are exceeded.
- Leading from the front with your own personal target and a revenue target for your team you will actively sell and oversee the sales of products to business customers throughout the UK.
- Responsible for all revenue lines and preparation of sales budgets.
- Monitoring and achieving daily/weekly/ monthly targets.
- Managing and reviewing performance of all the sales team members against KPI’s
- Motivating and inspiring the sales team to ensure consistent high levels of performance and morale.
- On-going Training, one to one coaching and development of sales staff.
- Conducting team meetings to promote incentives, promotions and to communicate performance expectations.
- Developing creative and innovative ways to grow or win business.
- Building strong relationships with top spending clients.
- Recognizing, identifying and developing business opportunities.
- Attending industry events.
- Sales team recruitment.
The Candidate
You will have
- A proven track record of managing and leading sales teams from any Media/ Exhibitions/Advertising sector (i.e Magazines, Exhibitions, Events, online, etc).
- We are looking for an inspirational leader with a demonstrable track record of success of delivering revenue growth.
- A natural leader, with the creativity, drive, motivation and passion to continue this organisation’s success.
- Previous experience in dealing with team performance and development.
- Proven track record of personal sales achievement
- Ability to lead and inspire sales teams.
- Excellent influencing, communication, motivation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to demonstrate you have successfully delivered change to the benefit of a business.
- You will have an excellent knowledge of media or events revenue models.
- An eye for customer service.
