Our client runs some of Scotland’s biggest Awards, Conferences and events across a range of industry sectors. After successful growth in 2017 they are expanding again in 2018 and currently require an Events Sponsorship Sales Executive to work across a range of events.
Based from their Glasgow office you will be responsible for sales of a portfolio of sponsorship media campaigns. Campaign Packages are bespoke and could include advertising, branding sponsorship, promotions, editorial and content. You will be selling to a range of new and existing customer accounts including corporate clients, SME’s, Advertising Agencies and public sector. Your role will involve liaising and negotiating with senior key decision makers within a range of customer sectors both over the phone and face to face. You will be responsible for maintaining and understanding your sector, market conditions and competitor products. You will be responsible for sourcing potential customers, developing leads by cold call telemarketing, then taking a consultative approach to the sales process and presenting their product offering. This is a creative role where you will come up with ideas and involve you selling bespoke opportunities to customers and developing commercial partnerships. You will ensure your activity is implemented efficiently, managing sponsorship campaigns and guaranteeing the best results for customers and client satisfaction. Working to targets and deadlines will have the support and back up of strong case studies, metrics and marketing information through a powerful media based solution. Attendance at events will be expected where you will be given the opportunity to meet customers.
Ideally you will have a proven track record of new business advertising sales experience, from any sector (i.e. events, magazines, exhibitions, newspapers, radio, outdoor, etc).
Alternatively you will have a proven track record in business to business sales with a demonstrable desire to get into the events sector.
It is fundamental that you are creative, have a strong understanding of the media and marketing and a desire to work in the events sector. You will need to be driven, naturally motivated with a passion for developing new business in a competitive market. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels.
