A rarely available opportunity for a driven Area Sales Director to work for one of the UKs leading media groups

Based anywhere in Central Scotland – Remote working model with some attendance required in Glasgow office/ Hub and at events when restrictions allow.

The Company

Our client in an established UK media group at the forefront of their media sectors.

They provide their clients with a range of innovative and ground-breaking media platforms designed to place their customers brands and media messages at the front of their audiences mind. Their media is uniquely placed in the market with many of the UK’s biggest media brands, household names and local media networks.

They currently require a Area Sales Director to work across a portfolio of high profile range of events, award ceremonies conferences, exhibitions, digital and other business media opportunities.

The Role

  • Selling events, award ceremonies, conferences, digital and other business media opportunities.
  • Dealing with a mix of new and existing SME, corporate customers and Advertising Agencies.
  • Targeting an already identified potential client base and sourcing new leads.
  • Warm and cold telemarketing calls to obtain face to face sales meetings with potential customers.
  • Structured sale where you will identify the business needs then create and design opportunities
  • Present innovative solutions (either face to face or remote) tailored to the client to ensure results.
  • Manage, nurture and provide great customer service to existing clients, making them want to grow their business with you.
  • Working with a great back up team, you’ll be putting together creative pitches using the latest technology that will make you stand out to your clients.
  • Attending networking
  • Working to targets and deadlines
  • You will have the support and back up of strong case studies, presentation tools, metrics and marketing information to ensure sales success.
  • Manage client campaigns, reviewing performance and  further grow sales revenue and increase customer’s ROI
  • Attendance at events will be expected where you will be given the opportunity to meet customers.

The Candidate

  • Demonstratable experience of sales from any media sector (i.e radio, outdoor, magazines, digital, exhibitions, events, newspapers, etc) coupled with solid documented evidence of success.
  • Experience of new business and Account Management
  • Commercially aware, motivated and naturally enthusiastic.
  • Drive, work ethic and motivation to develop new business in a competitive market.
  • Tenacity and ambition and be able to demonstrate that you have a competitive edge.
  • Able to put across a strong sales argument with excellent presentation skills,
  • Creative, articulate, proactive and quick thinking with the ability to develop relationships.
