Media Sales Manager required to work for one of the UKs leading media groups

Based anywhere in Glasgow / West of Scotland

A hybrid role 50% Home based 50% office based (depending on team requirements)

The Role

To play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, overseeing the sales team and ensuring the successful implementation of their media and marketing solutions.

The role involves

  • Implement the strategy for sales team.
  • Delivering inspirational sales management.
  • Leading, inspiring, managing, coaching and developing the team through regular and structured one to ones and performance reviews.
  • Utilising each opportunity to engage against the individuals’ team members personal development plan.
  • Monitor, identify and address team and individual performance.
  • Maximising revenue and growth of the business to meet and exceed team targets and objectives.
  • Work with your Director to deliver regional sales and marketing strategy.
  • Cultivate a collaborative team culture.
  • Deliver the best commercial terms for the business and in turn the best outcomes for your clients and partners.
  • Build strong relationships with local businesses, advertisers, and media agencies.
  • Development of all revenue streams.
  • Achieve team revenue targets, report, analyse and forecast revenue.
  • Analyse local trends, customer needs and competitors.
  • Identification of new revenue opportunities.
  • Partnering with HR & Sales recruitment

The Candidate 

We are looking for an inspirational and natural leader with a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering sales success to a team. You will have experience of managing sales teams and the ability to demonstrate providing innovative media solutions.

You will have

  • A proven track record in sales management.
  • You will require a strong Media Sales background from any sector (i.e events, conferences, outdoor, online, radio, newspaper, magazine, directories, digital etc).
  • You will have an in-depth understanding and a passion for the advertising ecosystem.
  • Good working knowledge of digital media
  • Previous experience in dealing with coaching team performance and development.
  • An ability to lead and inspire sales teams.
  • Excellent influencing, communication, motivation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate you have successfully delivered sales success to a business.
  • An eye for customer service.
  • You will have a good understanding of media buying and campaign planning.
  • Naturally creative and full of ideas you will also be able to demonstrate a track recording developing new ideas and winning new business.
